Shoot the Dragon Gate
Two cards make your gate. The bet goes down before you see it, then you call inside or outside and the third card settles it. Also known as In-Between, or Acey-Deucey.

How to run it
Chips only, never money. Minimum bet 10.
The pot holds 10 a head — if it drops below, everyone adds 10.
Nobody wins more than is in the pot.
Ace is always 1, so an Ace is never inside.
The hand
- Everyone bets, before any cards are dealt.
- Dealer deals each man his two gate cards.
- Dealer asks each in turn — inside or outside?
- Third card decides it.
Paying out
- Right — bet back and the same again. Bet 20, pick up 40.
- Wrong — the bet stays in the pot.
- Post, the third card matching a gate card — pay the same again on top. A 20 costs you 40.
- Nothing between your two cards, next to each other or a pair — bet lost. No call, no third card.
What you need
- A deck of cards
- Counters — Chips, coins, matches, buttons — anything countable
