Fayla

The Handicap

Everybody writes down the time they think they will take. Closest to their own guess wins, so the slowest man out there can take it.

Needs

Nothing at all

How long

120 min

Suits

Anybody in the room

Effort

Properly physical

Drink

None needed

How to run it

Whatever the lads is already doing — a race, a walk, a climb, a route.

The rule

  1. Before the start, everybody writes down the time they think they will take.
  2. No watches on the way round. None. That is the whole game.
  3. Closest to their own prediction takes it, whatever the actual times were.

Worth knowing

What you need

Nothing. The people in the room and a phone between you.

Before the day

Collect the predictions before anybody sees a start list, and do not let anybody change one afterwards.

Add this to your event

Fayla builds the whole weekend around it — a scoreboard everybody can see, a shopping list that writes itself out of the things you picked, and one link for the group chat.
