The Signature Drink
Invent the drink of the weekend. It has to be one agreed colour. Named, mixed and presented to the room — alcohol entirely optional, the colour is the brief.
A few pounds in a supermarket
Anybody in the room
Sitting down
None needed
How to run it
Ten minutes each and whatever is in the kitchen.
The turn
- Mix it, name it, and sell it to the room in one sentence.
- It has to be the colour. Not nearly the colour.
- Marks out of ten for taste, look and name. The groom has the deciding vote.
Getting the colour
- Food colouring. Two drops does a jug and it tastes of nothing.
- A coloured liqueur, if there is one in the house.
- A sports drink or a cordial from any supermarket, which brings its own colour and its own sugar.
- A freezie stirred through until it gives up.
Worth knowing
- Alcohol is optional and a good one without has won this sort of thing before.
- Whatever you make, it is not to be brown.
What you need
- Something long to serve it in
- Food colouring — The baking aisle. Two drops does a jug and it tastes of nothing
- A kitchen — Somewhere to cook, and somewhere to put what you cooked venue
Before the day
Food colouring is the one thing to buy — baking aisle, costs nothing, and it means everybody can enter whether they are drinking or not. Agree the colour before anybody starts.
If it goes badly
Worst effort has his drink renamed by the room, and has to ask for it that way for the rest of the the weekend.
Add this to your event
Fayla builds the whole weekend around it — a scoreboard everybody can see, a shopping list that writes itself out of the things you picked, and one link for the group chat.
