Cross-Table
The app deals everybody a table. Nobody sits with anybody they work with, and the first ten minutes are the whole point.

Sitting down

How to run it
One tap deals the room.
The round
- Everybody finds their table and stays there for the meal.
- Each table finds one thing every person at it has in common that has nothing to do with work.
- One person per table says what it was.
Worth knowing
- Deal it again for the second evening and it will come out differently.
- Nobody is asked anything about themselves they did not volunteer.
What you need
Nothing. The people in the room and a phone between you.
Before the day
Deal it before people walk in, and put the names on the tables. A room that has to work out where to sit sits where it always sits.
Add this to your event
Fayla builds the whole weekend around it — a scoreboard everybody can see, a shopping list that writes itself out of the things you picked, and one link for the group chat.

The Handicap
Everybody writes down the time they think they will take. Closest to their own guess wins, so the slowest person out there can take it.
The Partner Quiz
Questions answered by the birthday person's partner in advance. The birthday person guesses what they said.
Grill Master
Cook one thing on the grill for everyone. Scored on taste, timing and presentation.
The birthday person's Choice
At the end, the birthday person awards points for the single funniest contribution to the party.
