How to run it
Everybody, in whatever order the table falls into.
The turn
- Stand up. Thirty seconds. Sit down.
- It is to the groom, not about him, which is a different and much better speech.
- The room marks it out of ten on their own phones, sealed until everybody has gone.
Worth knowing
- Anybody who would rather not can pass, once, and nobody says anything about it.
- Short beats good. The best one in the room will be about eleven seconds long.
What you need
Nothing. The people in the room and a phone between you.
Before the day
Run it at the last meal, not the first. People need a day to think of something and a drink to say it.
