How to run it
Everybody has their own phone and their own goes.
The attempt
- Open the challenge and type what you reckon it is.
- As many goes as you like. The app knows when you are right.
- Case and the spaces around it do not matter. The rest of it does.
Paying out
- Whoever gets in first picks who takes the points, and it lands on the scoreboard there and then.
- It was probably a team effort. Credit whoever actually got it.
Worth knowing
- Do not read your guesses out. Half the fun is nobody knowing how close anybody is.
- The room shares one attempt counter, so you can all see how badly it is going.
- It is not the real organiser key and never becomes one. Getting in wins points and nothing else.
What you need
Nothing. The people in the room and a phone between you.
Before the day
Arm it in the app — open the challenge and set it there. Twelve characters or fewer. Do not write the hint into anything the group can read: this note is organiser-only, the rules card is not.
If it goes badly
Nobody gets in, and the organiser is unbearable about it until the journey home.
